Save the Date! OHADAC - CARICHAM Webinar on 23 February 2021

The CARICHAM (Caribbean Chambers of Commerce) and the ACP Legal association - in charge of implementing the OHADAC project - are pleased to announce the holding of a webinar dedicated to the OHADAC Regional Arbitration Centre (CARO Centre). The CARO Centre will be based in Guadeloupe and will start its activities in the near future.

This webinar will focus on the services which will be offered by the CARO Centre, and their role in achieving the objectives pursued by both CARICHAM and ACP Legal in the Caribbean region.

This webinar is a new episode of the CARICHAM Regional Growth Series, a series of webinars designed to support members of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry that are part of the CARICHAM network.

The CARICHAM network (https://www.caribbeanchambers.net) was founded in 2019 and is composed of 21 Caribbean chambers of commerce. These institutions have chosen to cooperate in order to promote economic growth and development on their territory and at the regional level. The CARO Centre, in creation, and the ACP Legal Association are pleased to count as one of CARICHAM's privileged interlocutors and look forward to the joint work that will be implemented in the months and years to come.

  • Marie-Camille Pitton - Attorney at Law; Consultant for ACP Legal on the OHADAC project; Former Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce
  • Shan Greer - Attorney at law; Mediator and Arbitrator; Co-founder of Caribbean ADR Initiative
  • John Bassie - Attorney at Law; Chartered Arbitrator and Supreme Court Appointed Mediator (Jamaica); Global President Elect of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for 2023; Founder of the Caribbean branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dispute Resolution Foundation

This webinar will be hosted by Béatrice Ilias, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti.

This webinar will be held in English but you may ask questions in French and English via the chat.
